Oh, it gets better...
I just found out that that through the NY Society of Illustrators Competition,
I won a $1,000 scholarship for my work. Today has been pretty damn amazing!I am seriously so lucky and blessed this year.
My final year at MCAD is also my most productive and successful. From this competition, my work will be put in one of the largest and well known design annuals in the US,
which is amazing, because that's one of the best ways to get work after school.Aside from that I have:
-Secured a job after school and work part-time now...
doing what I love.-Had my work shown in the Star Tribune
-Got into Society of Illustrators LA - award
-Got into Society of Illustrators NY - award and SCHOLARSHIP
-Getting work shown in the MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ILLUSTRATION
Which is just freaking phenomenal-Graduating in May
- Potentially being able to see my work in the Museum of American Illustration and
going to the awards ceremony which is scheduled the DAY before my graduation in NY
and then flying straight back to Minneapolis to GRADUATE.-Going to New York for trend research and trade show Surtex
-Going to Nashville to tag along to a meeting with PB
-CABIN, which we decided not to sell (a whole other story)
-Moving out of my house and either back home or into an apartment.
I love my life.
Love,
Mary
